Marc Nolette's Biography

I grew up in “religion”, attending church regularly when I was younger. I accepted Jesus as the Lord and Savior of the Bible but as I grew older I quit going to church. From the time I was 12 I did a great job of keeping Jesus in the Bible but not in my life. I always believed but was never walking the walk. In 2000 my girlfriend at the time (now my wife) decided we should start going to church. To keep her happy I agreed but I wasn’t happy about it. We started attending a church called Vineyard Church of Columbus. She liked it but I strongly disliked it…..worship band, a lot of people, shorts & t-shirts, and the pastor was a Jewish man who converted to Christianity. I thought “what kind of crazy church is this”. I kept going however, mainly to keep my girlfriend happy. Then one day something happened that had never happened to me before, the Jesus of the Bible met me face to face. He wrapped his arms around me and simply asked me to stop running and realize that Christianity is about relationship, not religion. Years later here I am living a blessed life. I have a beautiful wife, Alisha (thanks again for dragging me to church!) and two amazing children, Abbie and Bekah. Every day is a struggle against sin but today I realize that I have a personal God who sent His son as a personal Savior for me! God is so good!
