Does America play a key role in Biblical Prophecy? Have you ever wondered why the Bible is eerily quiet when it comes to any prophetic indicators as to what role, if any, The United States will play as events unfold leading to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ?
There are really no scriptural references that would indicate either a significant role or a diminished role for, what many historians would argue, the most prominent and influential Nation to have ever existed in the history of the world.
Economically, politically and militarily the USA has been unmatched by her peers. Perhaps there has been no greater contributor to the spread of Christianity than the liberty loving citizens of the red, white and blue flag bearer.
Some theologians and scholars believe that the U.S. will experience a great decline as she gives way to her excesses and debt. The implosion of the worlds superpower would leave a power vacuum, which could pave the way for the impending One World Government that IS mentioned in ancient prophecy. Once thought to be nearly impossible, the headlines tell a story of a once great nation that is reeling from a once in a century economic downturn, extreme moral decline, invasion of illegal immigrants, a world-wide battle with terrorism and an uncertain future. Will America recover and continue her role as the "shining city on the hill"? Or will we see a liberty fade, debt and consumerism grow, capitalism give way to socialism and communism and a slow fade into the abyss of fallen empires past? Time will tell.
