“I traded love for a heavy chain, another link every other day. Pull it up and down life’s mountain, makes me want to say… no more chains.”
Change, recession, unemployment, layoffs, socialism, healthcare…and yes Stimulus! These are the buzzwords that surround us in the media everyday.
As the rest of the world hurries to try to fix what is wrong I can’t help but think to myself “aren’t these the same people and the same policies, and the same type of thinking that got us into this mess?”
One bad decision after another is leading the world deeper and deeper into debt, despair, and a broken culture. So I have a suggestion for all of us to think about, let’s try God’s Stimulus Plan!
I call it Kingdom Currency. It operates on the following principals:
Kingdom Currency requires Kingdom Focus. Our ultimate destination as believer in Jesus Christ is to be with Him forever, living in His Kingdom.
Knowing that each passing day we are either closer to dying or closer to His 2nd Coming we should move beyond our goals and ambitions for this life to focusing on our personal relationship with Jesus.
Kingdom Currency requires daily, almost moment by moment worship. Worship prepares our heart, soul, and spirit for God’s manifest presence.
For God to dwell in us and for us to experience the fullness of His presence we must welcome Him and be prepared for His presence.
Though God is full of grace (giving us what we don’t deserve) and mercy (not giving us what we do deserve) He is still Holy! As a matter of fact…the Holiest of Holies!
Worship is the detergent that cleanses us on a daily basis so we can operate in the fullness of God’s presence and His Kingdom now.
Kingdom Currency requires dependence on God for everything. Impatience leads to bad decision making and leads us forward without waiting on God’s presence to move forward.
We need to be like Moses when he says to God that “unless you go with us” we will not go. Why? Because Moses knew that anything apart from God would not be fruitful and they would be doomed to fail.
Kingdom Currency provides rest, peace, power, strength, and sustenance. God tells us that He will give us rest; that He gives us a spirit of power, love, and sound mind; that He will sustain us and give us victory.
God is not a liar. But we must choose Him and seek first His Kingdom. Faith in Jesus equals victory, sustenance, and strength.
Jesus leads us into the Presence of God, and there is no substitution for the His Presence.
Psalm 55:22 (NLT) says “Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you. He will not permit the Godly to slip and fall.”
If you are struggling right now, hurting, lonely, afraid, or worried about your future.
Take heart!
Those are the by products of the World’s Currency. The world’s currency operates on selfish ambition, lying tactics, jealousy, judgment, personal competitiveness, anger, bitterness, and ridicule. The king of the world’s currency is your sworn enemy.
But you and I friend, by the power of Jesus Christ, are citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom. We have Kingdom Rights and an inheritance that is beyond measure.

Our stimulus plan is built on faith, pursuit of God, prayer, and worship. I would encourage you to not move forward until you’ve asked God for a few things:
Ask God for His Presence
Ask God for His Counsel
Ask God for His friends (good company) to come into your life
Ask God for Revelation of His Will for your life
Ask God for His Strength to sustain you
Ask God for His Kingdom and to give you Kingdom Focus
Then be ready to respond when He shows up! That’s the real deal stimulus plan…that’s God’s Stimulus Plan. God Bless You!
