Have you ever wanted to change how you spoke, how you looked, or how you acted just to fit in with others—to be like them?
Isn’t interesting how we can quickly fall into the trap of comparing ourselves with others?I don’t think any of us are exempt from this pitfall. (2 Corinthians 10:12)
Whether your tendency is to think you don’t do as well as others or your tendency is to think you are better than others, this type of thinking leads us to trust in external measures rather than trust the power of God in us (Ephesians 1:17-19).
In writing this blog, I found myself looking at the blogs of other Boomtibutors and thinking I should change my style of blogging to be more like that of some of the other contributors.
That thought was swiftly replaced with the following words:
I have created you in my image (Genesis 1:27), you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), in advance I have created good works for you to do (Ephesians 2:10).
I am not a mistake. You are not a mistake. God is all powerful; he can utilize each of us just as we are to accomplish His plan if we will allow Him to do so.
I have committed to trusting God and allowing Him to use me as he sees fit.
(Proverbs 3:5-6) Will you trust God and yield yourself to His plan?
