Jesus Name

Don't Underestimate The Power!

One thing is true about all Christians....we are human.

That means we all underestimate and fail to fully trust in the power and authority granted to us through Christ Jesus.

Because of that we tend to feel limited in what we can do, and we are easily intimidated about the spiritual battle taking place around us.

We feel we can't do anything....it's overwhelming.

That brings me to another truth about Christians.

Not only do we underestimate the power granted to us, but we underestimate the concept of salvation.

What? If we really did grasp the amazing, darkness shattering power of salvation then we wouldn't stress about what we can't do (and by the way, through Jesus all things are possible!), but we'd focus on what we CAN do.

As Christians there is one thing we ALL can do, and that is simply spread the name of Jesus.

I often lose sight of the fact that if I can introduce one person to Jesus as Savior and that's all I ever did....wow, how powerful.

Not only is that one more person in the Kingdom of God, but I don't know how God is going to use that person in the Kingdom.

Can you imagine being the person who introduced Martin Luther or Billy Graham to Jesus? They never could have guessed the magnitude of what they just did!

One challenge with introducing someone to Jesus is that once we plant the seed we want to water it and watch it grow.

That is awesome and sometimes God extends us grace to see that happen. There are other times, however, when we are called to simply plant the seed and walk away.

It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that the seed will grow and we must trust in God's sovereign plan.

If He says to plant the seed and walk away then we must trust that He can handle it without us!

Simply put, we hold the truth that saves so go and shout it to the world.

If we do that we will pierce the darkness and destroy the strong hold of the enemy!
