Your Secret Place

This morning was a battle for me but I knew I needed to go into my secret place with the Lord and do a quiet time as my spirit was feeling dry.

My mind kept on telling me that I have so much to do to get my day off on the right foot.

Determined I went out to the patio; coffee in hand and started to listen to some worship music.

As I watch the people in this video, they lost everything! This refocused me on how I must be Jesus’ hands and feet. We need to be by people’s sides and hold their hands as they go through their personal tragedies especially in these days…if we don’t, who will?

The key to seeing more of God and experiencing His power is in doing this very thing, putting the Kingdom first!

This Christian walk is not about just going to church and following rules and regulations, it is about loving people right where they are, being there for them, crying with them and most importantly praying with them.

When we refocus our eyes on life's big picture, God will give us the power to do these things because on our own strength doing His work is unsustainable.

It all starts in that secret place, that quiet time between you and God, where He gently talks to you, encourages you and fills you up with His spirit so your bucket can overflow onto others and you can give Him away.

I want to encourage you make time and space everyday to meet God in your secret place and watch what He will do in your life!

Trust me I know it is hard, but it is so rewarding everyday God meets me there, I wonder why I struggle to do it everyday!
